The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) prioritizes polluters ahead of the public.
CDPHE’s oil and gas complaint system is meant to help Coloradans hold polluters accountable. But since 2018, 66 complaints filed by Earthworks resulted in only ONE penalty.
The Air Quality Control Commission (AQCC)— part of CDPHE—is currently seeking public input to improve its oil and gas complaint system. For the sake of communities’ health and the climate, CDPHE must overhaul how it processes and responds to complaints so ordinary Coloradans can easily identify issues, polluters are reliably punished, and the public is protected.
We need your help to make CDPHE do its job — demand CDPHE put the public before oil and gas polluters!
