A dirty deal is making its way through Congress that would fast-track permits for new fossil fuel and mining projects, with little community involvement.

Led by Senator Manchin, the American Petroleum Institute, and other exactraction interests, this Big Polluter Backroom Deal would weaken bedrock environmental laws including the National Environmental Policy Act and Clean Water Act. It would significantly and disproportionately impact low-income communities, Indigenous communities, and communities of color.
